
Los Angeles, November 15, 2006 - Eurocinema, the first branded on-demand service featuring award-winning European and global theatrical and short films, will officially supply on demand content to Time Warner Cable in the New York area this month, the announcement was made today by Larry Namer, EuroMedia Holdings, Corp., owner and operator of Eurocinema.
"The addition of the New York market is a true milestone for Eurocinema," said Namer. "We're delighted to offer television audiences in the New York area a new avenue to experience the gems of the international film world, some of which have never before been screened in the US, now available on Time Warner Cable's On Demand platform."
International films can be viewed by Time Warner Cable digital customers through International Movies On Demand (IMOD) Channel 500. Each title may be viewed at any time and is just $3.95 for unlimited access within 24 hours. Viewers can pause, fast forward and rewind right from their remote controls for the ultimate in convenience. IMOD films can be accessed by categories including Bollywood, Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

Key titles from Eurocinema's current roster will debut under the "International" category on Time Warner Cable Video On Demand. Content will be refreshed monthly. Eurocinema features a combination of movies, with works by legendary directors to some never before seen in the U.S. gems of the international film world.
Eurocinema offers a diverse selection of quality international theatrical films, including both mainstream studio titles and independent productions, acquired from more than 20 global distributors. Each feature film serves as the centerpiece of a hosted two-hour thematic programming block designed to provide perspective on the main theme, with such supplemental content as host commentary, original documentaries and director interviews, as well as rarely seen short-format films relevant to the feature. Now available in 13 million homes, Eurocinema can be found in top markets across the U.S. on Time Warner, Charter, Mediacom, Atlantic Broadband, Bresnan Communications, Bright House Networks, and Buckeye Communications, as well as on Shaw Communications in Canada.

"Juliette's Baby" - 2003 Avignon Film Festival winner. A story of a young woman named Juliette (Julie-Marie Parmentier) dealing with an unexpected pregnancy. Her father (Stephane Rideau) isn't interested, and her mother (Carmen Maura) is far from supportive. Juliette finds an unlikely ally in an older married man (Tom Novembre), a relationship that causes concern with her friends and family.
"My Father's Words" - Italian w/English subtitles, 2002. Directed by Francesca Commencini, stars Fabrizio Rongione and Chiara Mastroianni, daughter of Marcello Marstroianni and Catherine Deneuve. At 30, Zeno's father dies, and he realizes that his youth is almost over. Meeting Giovanni Malfenti, a successful gallery owner with four daughters, Zeno is impressed by Malfenti's energy, and falls in love with one of the daughters, Ada played by Mastroianni. This relationship helps Zeno find peace and direction.
"Amantes" - Spanish w/English subtitles. Directed by Vicente Aranda, and starring Jorge Sanz and Victoria Abril, said to be Spain's most beloved actress having been in "Don't Tempt Me" for which she won numerous Best Actress Awards. Set in '50s Spain, a young man leaves the army and looks for a job so he and his fiancée can get married. He rents a room from a widow, and shortly begins a torrid affair with her. The fiancée figures it out and decides to win him back by offering herself to him and taking him to meet her family. Ultimately he has to make a decision. Based on a true story. This movie was the winner of 11 international film awards, including best actress at the Berlin Film Festival.
"La Petite Lili" - French w/English subtitles, 2003, Ludivine Sagnier (Swimming Pool) stars as Lili, the love and muse of an idealistic young filmmaker named Julien. At odds with the serenity of the breathtaking French countryside, Julien rebels against his mother and her guests, while multiple intrigues of lust and power play out behind the scenes. From La Petite Lili's opening moments, one of the steamiest sexual encounters in film, director Claude Miller's modern adaptation of Chekhov's "The Seagull" envelops the viewer with its lush visuals while the layers of distinction between art and memory are shed. Winner of three international film awards and Palm D'Or nominee at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival. (coming in December)
