Italian with English subtitles, VIAGGIO SEGRETO (SECRET JOURNEY) tells the story of the "reconstruction" of a tragic, criminal act, together with the reconstruction of 2 lives. Leo, (Alessio Boni) is a forty year-old psychoanalyst, who must travel to Sicily to protect a secret. This is a return trip, to the place he fled from twenty-five years earlier with his little sister Ale. The journey offers the possibility for a lucid reconstruction of the crime that left them and their family history, suspended. The occasion for the trip arrives unexpectedly. Ale (Valeria Solarino), Leo's beautiful sister, wants to marry fifty year-old Harold (Emir Kusturica), a major artist from Serbia. The tie between the brother and sister is so close that they had never imagined such an event could take place. And Harold has even decided to give his fragile bride her home in Sicily as a wedding present. The home they fled from as children. The one where "everything" happened...
